    Yes, Medicare will pay for ambulance rides that are medically necessary, with a Medicare approved supplier. If emergency services that are needed to save your life, Medicare will always pay for ambulance rides. If non-emergency services, you must either be confined to bed or need the medical equipment the ambulance provides, in order for the ride to be paid for by Medicare.
