    You should have enough personal property coverage to satisfy you should you have a total loss.  Your personal property would include your furniture, appliances, clothing and miscellaneous property. The amount of liability insurance is determined by your vulnerability to claim.  A lawsuit can be extremely expensive.  It could bankrupt you.
