Theft is a covered peril under a Renter’s policy.  The coverage is limited by the limit for personal property in the policy and restrictions on various “high valued” items.  Some “high valued” items can be scheduled in which case there is coverage.  The property located on premises is covered to the policy limits, if the property is away from the premises it is only covered to about ten per cent of the stated amount.
