This is a form of homeowner’s policy that is designed for a renter.  It doesn’t have any coverage for the building itself.  It provides coverage for your personal property (clothes, furniture, appliances, etc.)  It also provides liability insurance.  It will cover lawsuits that come from bodily injury and property damage.  This form of insurance may be required by a landlord, but it is the only way that you can recover your personal property when it is destroyed.  It is also the only way you can avoid the tremendous expense that accompanies a law suit.
