    That is a great question! The simple answer is anytime that you put your belongings into someone else's property, and that person isn't willing to help replace it if it's damaged or stolen. Most landlords are going to be insured for their building, and not the things that you put there. You are responsible for replacing everything that is damaged or destroyed, and that can be prohibitively expensive. That is a great reason to have insurance! Thank you for asking!
