    Yes you can have multiple retirement plans.

    In Canada for example your could have a pension plan and a group registered retirement savings plan (RRSP) through your employer. In addition you could have an individual RRSP and also spousal RRSP. A Tax Free Savings Account (TFSA) could also be used for retirement planning since the accumulation grows tax free and withdrawals due not attract taxation.
