    Yes if they live in the residence as you. In many states you may even be required to add them onto your policy if they are residing in your household. Please contact a local agent to find out how this change may affect your rates. In many cases having multiple drivers and multiple vehicles will provide a better price than having the policy separate for each person.

    Anyone who drives an insured vehicle regularly or drives in the household should be listed on the policy as a driver. As far as adding your fiancé to the policy, as a driver this should not present an issue.
    If your fiancé has their own vehicle and you want to combine policies this may present more issues. Some companies will look at a domestic partnership the same as they do a marriage. In this case you would be able to insure both vehicles on one policy and receive the applicable discounts.
    Other companies will say that you have no insurable interest in your fiancé’s vehicle and therefore he or she must maintain a policy separately. Talk to your broker about how your company views this relationship.
