   If you have an auto loan then the lending company will require you to carry both Comprehensive and Collision physical damage coverage on your auto insurance policy.  In most cases, your state will require you to carry liability coverage in order to register and operate your car on public roads and highways.  The combination of these two elements constitute "full" coverage.  There may be other endorsements that might benefit you so talk to your Insurance Professional to make sure you are receiving all the benefits and discounts to which you are entitled.
