First get licensed in your state.  Then get contracts with some companies either directly or through a marketing organization.  Working from home takes a lot of discipline  For a new agent I highly recommend going through an organization that provides training and support and mentoring.  You can still work at home but having the structure of weekly training meetings will help keep you motivated and give you the help you need to get started.
