Who Does Mobile Home Insurance?

    There are many companies that provide insurance for mobile homes.  If you check the yellow pages in your telephone book (if you can remember what that is,) you should be able to find agents that handle mobile homes.  You can also find the information by doing an on-line search.  If you contact most insurance agents they can provide you with motile home coverage.  It is not an unusual policy to find.

    There are many carriers that cover new, conforming homes. On the other hand, there are two insurance companies that I know and have traded with for over 30 years specialize in Mobile homes. American Modern, and Foremost Insurance. In our area, others do sell a mobile home policy but fewer mobile homes qualify for coverage. My recommendation is to look for independent agents that have these two lines if you have an older, classic, or unusual set up.
