Life insurance quotes are distributed through career, brokerage and company direct. Historically these offerings have not been as competitive as brokerage distribution channels, who offer many life insurance products from various companies. Some of these companies are on line. If the web site doesn’t display several companies or a calculator that displays a spreadsheet of all companies, it’s not worth reviewing.

Yes, you can get a life insurance quote online. Some websites will offer instant quotes that enable you to put in your age, sex, state, height, weight, amount and type of coverage you are looking for, then see your quote instantly. A smaller number of websites will allow you to put in your health information so that the quote is more specific.

It is always a good idea to talk to someone associated with the website, as well, to make sure your quote is accurate. There are many options and sometimes the one that works best for you might not be listed on a website quote engine, especially if you have serious health problems or are looking for permanent coverage.

Yes, using a search engine like Google or Bing there will be many websites to choose from to quote life insurance. Be careful to read the fine print at the bottom of the disclosure page. The majority of "quote sites" are information collection sites that will sell your information to multiple agents. These "lead" companies will sell and resell your information and you will be bombarded with phone calls and emails. Most quote sites are not accurate on the quote. Most sites will give their best preferred rate which only about 2-4% of the population qualify for. it is more about selling your information. Try asking friends, family and co-workers for names of trusted independent brokers to shop for you free of charge to find the best product at the best price for your unique situation.
