In order to get a life insurance license in Pennsylvania you must complete any pre-licensing requirements and then take and pass the state insurance licensing exam.  Once you have passed the exam the state will issue your resident producer's license.

You will also be subject to a background check before the state will issue your license.

To get a life insurance license in Pennsylvania, you must pass a test after a course of study. There will be some fees to pay in order to get your license, as well. From then on you will need to take continuing education to renew it. If you are going to handle variable products, you must also get some securities licenses.

To get a license all you need to do is sign up for a PA approved course of insurance study - these can be real courses or virtual online courses that you can take in the comfort of your home.  When the course is completed you will need to pass an exam in order to receive a certificate of completion.  The final step is to sign up to take the state exam in a monitored classroom.  If you pass the test - you can apply for your license.
Take your time studying the life material.  There is a lot to learn and can be very confusing if you rush through it.  In my opinion it is the hardest test in insurance.  Best of luck!
