The answer will depend on your individual and family circumstances, objectives and resources.  If you are a Breadwinner, or a stay at home parent in New Jersey chances are your significant other will be greatly impacted financially due to an untimely death.  Some life insurance protection is better than none especially if you have dependents, or loved ones who are relying on your future income.

Some options for life insurance in New Jersey are Group Life Insurance which may be offered by your employer, or an industry association.  This is not to say group life is the best in New Jersey, it is just one of a few options.

Other considerations are individual term life insurance, or permanent life insurance like whole life, universal life, variable life and indexed universal life.

There is no one type of life insurance policy, or one particular life insurance company, that is best in New Jersey. Finding your best policy will take into account your health, age, income, the amount of life insurance that you need, and the purpose for your coverage. It may be a good idea to visit with an agency that sells life insurance in New Jersey to find the best policy for you.

New Jersey has a number of interesting life insurance options. Many front-line carriers are licensed to operate in this state. This means that you will have available ordinary term and permanent products from name-brand carriers. There are also a number of companies that offer simplified-issue products for people who have serious medical conditions such as cancer or heart failure. Not only that, a number of excess-market underwriting syndicates make products available for  exceptional risks, such as people who must travel to dangerous locations as part of their job.

Depend on your situation and goal plus your affordability. It is best to talk to 2-3 local agent and get quote for it so you can find out what best coverage your $$(premium) can buy for you. Even though some employer offer term life insurance or other type of life insurance it is better to have your own life insurance policy as it is always with you even after change in your job situation.
There are lot of options are available from different carrier and you can always select best option based on your unique situation.
