    Medicaid is a state run program for poor or low income individuals, & Medicare is a Federal program. Part B premiums are deducted from your Social Security generally. Some individuals that have not worked 40 quarters or more during their working careers, may have an additional cost for Medicare. The Medicare program part "A" is for Hospitalization, part "B", is for doctor visits, part "C" is Medicare Advantage, & part "D" is prescription drug coverage.
