    Disabled children that meet the Social Security definition of disabled, may be covered under Medicare.

    If the child is under the age of 18 and is receiving SSI payments (Supplemental Security Income) they may qualify for Medicare if they are not covered under their own health insurance plan, are as a dependent on their parents plan.
