    Medicare disability is the same Medicare for folks 65 and over. If you are on Social Security disability (SSDI), and have been on SSDI for 2 years, you should be eligible for Medicare.
     
    You are also eligible for a Medicare supplement plan, or Medicare Advantage coverage. Does this answer your question?

    There is no medicaid disability insurance.  The Social Security Administration makes disability insurance benefits available through it's Social Security Disability program SSDI.

    In order to qualify you must meet the following requirements:

    1. Have an injury or illness that is expected to last at least one year or result in your death

    2. No longer be able to perform the material and substantial duties of any occupation for which you are appropriately trained and/or licensed

    3. The injury or illness must have persisted for at least five months.
