The renters insurance policies that I handle in my company contain liability insurance. Remember though there are two different liability coverages available. Regular liability and Personal liability. Most policies have personal liability as an optional coverage. Remember though not all policies are the same. Look over your policy completely or contact your local agent to ensure that you have this coverage.

Most renters’ policies provides liability insurance as a part of the package. This is personal liability coverage and the company will pay up to the limits of the policy for all amounts which you are liable for by law because of bodily injury or property damage. There are exclusions and limitations to the coverage which are very important.
