    Yes, you can generally have any number of health insurance plans you want.  Several people have a primary and secondary health insurer.  The secondary insurance typically covers health care costs that the primary insurance policy does not cover.  

    If you do have two health insurance plans, you should be sure to make the health care provider well aware of this fact so they know to coordinate between the multiple insurers and bill accordingly.
