    The amount withdrawn from your paycheck depends on your total premium for the insured and the portion you pay (many employers subsidized a portion of the premiums.  Whatever the cost is you should see your premiums itemized and paid without being subject to normal income taxes.  To find out the actual cost I would recommend you speak to the benefits administrator or HR director in your company to get the real numbers.  Remember though, if you leave that job the only way to keep your benefits is through COBRA (often expensive).  If you're in the decision phase you should shop individual plans to compare.  With an individual plan it goes with you no matter whom you work for.
